Nashville's Farewell Show
Country music in Ireland has always had a solid following with shows across Northern Ireland & Ireland on pretty much every night of the week.
With the likes of Taylor Swift, Nathan Carter the Country 2 Country Music Festival and the TV show Nashville country music in Ireland has started to appeal to younger fans over the past several years.
Following on from sold-out tours across America, stars from the hit TV show Nashville took to the 3Arena stage to perform much-loved songs from the series as well as original material. Thousands of fans travelled from all over Ireland to watch the show in Dublin on Monday night.
The cast are no strangers to Ireland as this marks the third time in three years they will have performed here on the ever-popular Nashville Tour.
Nashville is now finishing up after 6 series. It has been a fun, soapy drama that chronicles the lives of various fictitious country music singers in Nashville, Tennessee starring Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes (a legendary country music superstar) whose stardom begins fading, and Hayden Panettiere as rising younger star Juliette Barnes.
Also among the cast is Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio. Casting these actors who can really sing and play added authenticity to the show and made the concert more worthwhile and the success it's been over the last few years.
The show is exactly what you'd expect with a nice mix of original and cover songs that has the crowd going crazy. Backed by a multi instrumented band, each cast member introduced themselves to the audience and performed hits from the show, as well as covers, solos, duets and original material.
